cifbid methodology: sources, refresh cadence, named author

cifbid.co.uk is a reference desk, not a consultancy. We rely on a small set of primary sources, refresh on DfE publishing cadence, and never infer rates for vendors that do not publish them. We do not earn commission on vendor referrals.

On this page

Primary sources

The DfE Condition Improvement Fund technical guidance, the Condition Improvement Fund outcomes publication, and the GOV.UK information-for-applicants page are the primary sources for every numeric claim and rules-paragraph on this site.

Refresh cadence

The DfE publishes outcomes once per round, typically in May. The technical guidance is restated at round-open in early November. cifbid.co.uk refreshes within five working days of each publication.

Named author

Editorial review by Oliver Wakefield-Smith, Founder, Digital Signet. No FRICS credentials are claimed. Where the technical depth requires a chartered signature, the source is linked, not paraphrased.

Not promised

We do not bid on your behalf. We do not earn commission on vendor referrals. We do not promise a bid outcome. We do not invent vendor pricing where the vendor does not publish a rate.

Change log

Every DfE outcome refresh and every guidance restatement is logged in /changelog with date and the pages touched.
